UX Academy Foundations: Discord
Joining the Designlab Community on Discord
- Join the community by clicking the button above.
- Create a Discord account if you haven't already - here's how to set one up.
- Acknowledge the community rules and guidelines in the Designlab Discord Server Guide.
- Read the message in the #get-verified channel.
- Click the “Get Verified" button and submit the form. Verification should occur momentarily.
- Once verified, your Discord space will automatically update to show all the channels you have access to. All of our available channels are organized by channel groups.

Meet the Designlab Community
The Community category of channels is where you can head to connect with other students in UX Academy Foundations, UX Academy, Career Services, and UX Academy alumni. In addition to #general-chat and #off-topic, we also recommend utilizing the various voice channels that are available. You can post in the #co-working channel to let others know you’ll be working in a voice channel, or join an existing study group!
Cohort Channel
You can find the channel for your cohort in the UXA Foundations channel category. We encourage you to introduce yourself and greet your fellow students in your cohort!
Tools, Resources, and Events
You’ll find some amazing resources and events in the Craft and Tools channel categories. We highly encourage everyone to share any helpful resources and design events.
Social Channels
We have a variety of social channels available based on location, interests, hobbies, and more. Check out the following categories to find channels based on your preferences:
