Getting Ready for Vibe Coding Camp
We’re excited to have you join Vibe Coding Camp - an immersive, fast-paced program where you’ll learn the modern AI-powered development stack and use it to build and ship a working web app from scratch. This guide covers everything you need to get set up before the first session.
Items covered in this article:
Course Start Date & Time
Start: Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 5pm ET
Location: Designlab platform (log-in instructions will be emailed the day prior to launch)
Required Software Setup
Why setup matters before the sessions:
Please complete this setup before camp begins. The sessions move quickly, and we will use these tools hands-on from the start. If accounts, desktop apps, billing, permissions, or Git are not ready, it can slow down your work and make it harder to follow along during live build time.
Arriving with the toolkit installed means you can spend the sessions designing, coding, deploying, and asking better questions instead of troubleshooting logins or setup screens.
One thing worth knowing ahead of time: if you're planning to use a work laptop or work accounts for any of the required tools, some may require IT approval or access requests. We recommend completing the setup as early as possible so you have time to work through any approvals before the course begins.
Required accounts and tools:
|
Note: This course has you install a few apps and connect several tools: the Claude Code Desktop app, the Claude Code CLI, and connectors/MCPs like Supabase and Figma. On company-managed or locked-down computers, installing software and authorizing connectors often requires IT/admin approval, which can take hours or days. Use this checklist to make sure you'll be ready to vibe code on session 1! |
Students must set up the following before camp begins:
Claude setup
-
Create a Claude account with access to Claude Code
- Claude Code requires a paid Claude plan such as Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. See Claude pricing.
-
Install the Claude Desktop app
- After installing, sign in and open the Code tab.
Install Claude Code CLI and Node.js
We know that Claude Code in the terminal can be tricky and we’ll be also be using Node.js to help. Node.js is an open-source runtime environment that allows developers to run JavaScript code outside of a web browser.
Here are some specific resources to help you get started with it.
Set up Figma
- Create a paid Figma Account
- Install the Desktop Figma App
- Build Basic Proficiency - If you are new to Figma, review the Figma Learn resources.
Create Free Developer Apps
All three accounts are free. Sign up at the links below:

Certification
When you complete any of our courses, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion that highlights your newfound skills and project work. This certificate serves as a tangible acknowledgment of your learning journey — and it’s something you can proudly feature on your résumé or share on LinkedIn to demonstrate your professional growth.
Each certificate comes with a unique ID and a dedicated verification page hosted on our site. This allows anyone — from hiring managers to collaborators — to confirm your accomplishment quickly and securely.
Add Your Certificate to LinkedIn with Ease
We’ve made it simple to share your achievement. When you’re viewing your certificate page, you’ll see an “Add certification to LinkedIn” button in the upper right side of the page. Clicking this button will take you directly to your LinkedIn profile (if you’re already logged in) and automatically open the modal to add a new certificate.
From there, you can fill in your course details and link your unique certificate verification page — giving your network and potential employers an easy way to view and verify your credentials.
