You'll gain a toolkit in Interaction Design — learning about fundamental concepts including usability principles, information architecture, user- and goal-centered design, content strategy, and design patterns.
Throughout the course, you'll practice sketching, wireframing, creating user flows and site maps, conducting card sorting exercises, and using effective design patterns as you put together a design for a mobile app.
Take a look at some past student work to get a better idea of the projects here (which you can complete with any tool of your choice).
Additionally, here's a third-party review of the IXD course.
