  • Unit 2 - UI Design Principles 
      • Learn about creating a landing page in Figma or Sketch 
      • Work through some copy work recreating a landing page 
      • Design your own landing page! (Sign up screen) 
  • Unit 3 - UI Design Elements 
      • Start some more detailed UI learning, such as elements and design patterns 
      • Large about sizing, scale, and spacing 
      • Recreate mobile screens in Figma or Sketch, and then create your own
  • Unit 4 - Design Evaluation and Critique 
      • Learn about giving and receiving feedback in regards to design work 
      • Understand the importance of effective and constructive communication
      • Grasp why iterative design is so important
      • Learn to use components in Sketch and Figma, and create a multi-step form 
  • Unit 5 - Designing for Multiple Devices 
      • Understand the principles of responsive design, and learn how to design for multiple devices in Sketch or Figma
      • Learn how components and design systems support multi-device, or responsive, design
      • Recreate a responsive landing page, and then design your own! 
  • Unit 6 - Images, Icons, and Logo 
      • Learn about using photography, icons, and illustrations in UI Design 
      • Learn how to make responsive logos 
      • Recreate some existing logos, and then create your own 
  • Unit 7 - Color and Typography 
      • Understand the basics of color theory and how to apply color theory to interface designs
      • Learn the basics of typography and how to choose fonts for interface designs
      • Create a color palette, choose UI fonts, and create a style tile 
      • Design 3 screens using the style tile, logo, and icons 
  • Unit 8 - Design Challenge 
      • Apply all that you’ve learned over the past 7 units into this longer form design challenge! You’ll then be able to use this project to apply to UX Academy. 
      • Be prepared to possibly have to iterate on your work, and understand the value of working through iterations

    • Learn basic UX design concepts and terms

    • Explore different UX roles in the industry
