What if I don’t get accepted into UX Academy?

If you’ve applied to UX Academy as a student with previous design experience and aren’t accepted into UX Academy, we would recommend that you start off with our prerequisite course, UX Academy Foundations. Foundations is geared towards ensuring every student has a fundamental understanding of visual and UI design, and leads up to a final project which you can then use in your UX Academy application.

If you take UX Academy Foundations prior to UX Academy, you’ll receive a $500 credit on your bootcamp tuition to offset the initial course fees and ensure your overall tuition remains the same!

If you are taking UX Academy Foundations, we recommend taking a look at these prerequisite requirements towards entry into UX Academy. These are great points to consider when moving through Foundations, to best set you up for success when applying to the program.

One good thing to note is that applicants may only apply to a given cohort of UX Academy once. If you are unable to gain entry into UX Academy, you're welcome to apply again next month! However, priority in each cohort will be given to first-time applicants.

If you have any further questions about the application process, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Admissions can be contacted on admissions@designlab.com
